Six Gun Rebels History Prologue:

It’s important to understand that collaborative artistic endeavors involve a lot of subjective creative experiences, tastes and opinions. We respect all current and past members of the band and thank them for their efforts in helping propel us on this journey. Video clips throughout the history of the band are readily available using the YouTube link top right of each page.

Six Gun Rebels History:

In the fall of 2019, guitarist Barry Clemons reached out to drummer Brent Woolard via Bandmix about starting up a garage band. This would kick off a months-long conversation about the type of band they’d like to form. Ultimately, in early 2020, they agreed that a Bad Company tribute project would be the path forward. After all, doing a tribute to a great band that we all grew up with on the radio sounded like a lot of fun! Since the formation of the band in early 2020, after early discussions in 2019, we’ve been a little more dynamic than static when it comes to the lineup.

The initial lineup, in January of 2020:

Lead Vocals: Martin Morin

Lead Guitar: Barry Clemons

Rhythm Guitar/Keyboards: Mike Thompson

Bass Guitar: Gary Dyer

Drums: Brent Woolard

Forming a band during the worst of the COVID era had its challenges, but it gave the band members something to look forward to each week. We would have to juggle schedules as members and their families would be impacted by the virus, but the foundation of the band would get its start. The vocal approach to Paul Rogers would prove a poor fit to Martin’s high pitched vocal sound and he would leave the project in late 2019. A well timed, accidental cellphone butt-dial would result in the second major iteration of the project, bringing in vocalist Mike Wiredu, and shortly after that, bassist/vocalist Karl Roos.

The second lineup, in Spring of 2021:

Lead Vocals: Mike Wiredu

Lead Guitar: Barry Clemons

Rhythm Guitar/Keyboards: Mike Thompson

Bass Guitar: Karl Roos

Drums: Brent Woolard

This lineup, and the waning of the pandemic, would eventually be brought to the stage, performing the first Six Gun Rebels concert, playing for the Brownsville Marina Yacht Club’s 2021 Halloween Party with this set list:

Following the Halloween gig, Barry would leave the band due to creative differences, with Dave Hawkins occupying the lead guitar spot for a couple months. Six Gun Rebels would play their second gig, but without Mike Thompson, who unfortunately, was traveling for his day job:

The third lineup, in Winter of 2021:

Lead Vocals: Mike Wiredu

Lead Guitar: Dave Hawkins

Rhythm Guitar/Keyboards: Mike Thompson

Bass Guitar: Karl Roos

Drums: Brent Woolard

After the New Years gig, Dave Hawkins would leave for personal reasons and we were without a lead guitarist for the second time in two short months. That’s when Tim McGovern showed up! Tim’s a professional guitarist who wasn’t afraid to assert himself in the project and bring us to new levels of musicianship and performance.

The fourth lineup, in Early 2022:

Lead Vocals: Mike Wiredu

Lead Guitar: Tim McGovern

Rhythm Guitar/Keyboards: Mike Thompson

Bass Guitar: Karl Roos

Drums: Brent Woolard

This lineup would only last through one gig, April 1st 2022, as Mike Wiredu and Mike Thompson would leave for personal and creative reasons shortly after that concert. We would reinvent ouselves into a four-piece. Enter, former “Cat Puncher” frontman, Mark Loudermilk.

The fifth lineup, in Summer of 2022:

Lead Vocals: Mark Loudermilk

Lead Guitar: Tim McGovern

Bass Guitar: Karl Roos

Drums: Brent Woolard

This lineup would be the most prolific to date, playing six shows between September 2022 and January of 2023, including The Muckelshoot and Point casinos:

September 20 , 2022: The Point Casino

December 3, 2022: Brother Don’s

December 23, 2022: The Garage Bar and Grill

December 24, 2022: Muckelshoot Casino

January 7, 2023: Ozzie’s Place

January 14, 2023: Tracyton Public House

The Mark Loudermilk era would come to an end, sadly, in January of 2023 due to Mark being transferred out of state for work for several months. In the lead up to Mark’s announced departure, a chance meeting between drummer Brent Woolard and vocalist Dan Grant would reconstitute the band:

The sixth lineup, in January of 2023:

Lead Vocals: Dan Grant

Lead Guitar: Tim McGovern

Bass Guitar: Karl Roos

Drums: Brent Woolard

With Dan Grant fronting the band, we would re-enter the stage:

February 18, 2023: Tracyton Public House

March 3, 2023: Slim’s Last Chance

April 29, 2023: Our Place Pub and Eatery

May 19, 2023: Bethel Saloon

In May of 2023, Tim McGovern and Dan Grant would depart the band, and with thier exit, we would bring in guitarist/keyboard player Paul Racey and vocalist/keyboard player Melissa Kittrell.

The lineup, in May 2023:

Lead Vocals: Melissa Kittrell

Guitar/Keyboards/Vocals: Paul Racey

Bass Guitar: Karl Roos

Drums: Brent Woolard

In November of 2023, and Paul starting to play the classic piano parts, we’ve added guitarist Eric Gibson to the lineup, reforming as a 5 piece and getting ready to reproduce that Bad Company sound the way it was meant to be heard!

Partnering up with Lynyrd Skynyd tribute Whiskey Creek, we’re slated for several casino, event center and theater shows across the Puget Sound region!

Enter Brian Feldtman on keyboards & guitars, and Jeff Martin on lead vocals! This would mark the inter-state iteration of SGR, with upcoming gigs in Boise and Jackpot, Nevada in the summer and spring of 2025.

In the spring of 2025, Melissa and Paul would leave the band. Enjoying our most successful and prolific year as a band, we thoroughly appreciated their efforts and look forward to watching them perform in their next endeavors.
